CEENQA’s Annual General Assembly and Workshop – 13–14 June 2025, Tallinnd

CEENQA’s annual General Assembly and Workshop took place on 13 and 14 June in Tallinn, generously hosted by the Estonian Quality Agency for Education (HAKA).

The workshop on 13 June focused on the theme “Higher Education’s Connection with the Labour Market” and featured presentations from various stakeholders. The programme included the following speakers:

The workshop was concluded with the panel discussion where the panelists Olgun Cicek (INQAHEE), Marcus Ehasoo (Estonian Student Union), Kristi Raudmäe (Estonian Ministry of Education and Research), Andrej Krček (NAKVIS) and Yuliia Bleshmudt (FIBAA) debated several viewpoints of connection between labour market and higher education.

During the General Assembly on 14 June, several important decisions were taken. Simona Lache (ARACIS, Romania) and Benjamin Muhamedbegović (HEA, Bosnia and Herzegovina) were re-elected for a third term. Diane Freiberger (FIBAA, Germany) was re-elected for a second term as a board member and confirmed as Vice-President of CEENQA. Lasha Margishvili (NCEQE, Georgia) was newly elected to the Board.

The Slovak Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (SAAHE, Slovakia) and the Association for Accreditation of Architectural Education (MiAK, Türkiye) were welcomed as CEENQA’s newest members.

However, two observer agencies – HEC (Syria) and ECBE (Belgium) – were expelled from the association due to non-compliance with financial obligations.

Thank you once again for your participation in our annual Workshop and General Assembly.
We hope you enjoyed the beautiful city of Tallinn, gained new insights, and had the opportunity to exchange valuable experiences with fellow CEENQA members.

We would especially like to thank our wonderful hosts, the Estonian Quality Agency for Education (HAKA), for their warm hospitality and impeccable organisation. Their efforts greatly contributed to the success of this year’s event and made everyone feel truly welcome.
