Dr. sc. Vesna Dodiković-Jurković, President of CEENQA, participated at the Annual Conference of the National Center for Education Quality Enhancement (NCEQE), at the invitation of the Acting Director of NCEQE Lasha Margishvili. On the conference, held in Tbilisi on 23-24 September 2025, NCEQE, together with their stakeholders, celebrated 15 years of their activity and contribution to the development of the higher education system in Georgia.

Acting Director of NCEQE Lasha Margishvili presented an overview of NCEQE achievements in the period 2010-2025 as well as the planned development of activities until 2030. The reform of preschool and elementary school education was highlighted, which began with the adoption of the new legislative framework in 2022, the adoption of new accreditation standards for higher education, the creation of a pool of experts who will participate in external evaluation processes, training for the preparation of self-evaluation reports, and the adoption of the evaluation plan for the period 2025-2029.

Dr. sc. Vesna Dodiković-Jurković participated in the panel discussion on the topic „Key challenges for Quality Assurance Agencies in Relation to ESG Standards“.

Following the invitation of the Georgian Prime Minister, Mr. Irakli Kobakhidze and the minister responsible for education, science and youth, Mr. Givi Mikanadze, presidents of EQAR, ENQA, CEENQA, EUA and WFME discussed the reform of the system of higher education and science in Georgia. CEENQA offered cooperation and support in the announced reforms in the field of education and science, as part of which the improvement of the position of teachers was also announced.

CEENQA congratulates NCEQE on its achievements so far and will support it in its further development.
