OBJECTIVE
The main goal of the project is the adaptation of a dual system in Kazakhstan that improves the competencies of students according to the needs of employers, increase of the employability of graduates, and strengthens the cooperation with private sector.
In order to achieve the main objective, the project will:
- Work closely with MESRK and accreditation agency IQAA to recommend adequate changes to legislation/regulations to adapt KAZDUAL model of higher education in Kazakhstan
- Train teachers from piloted field of studies to provide practical skills and practical-oriented education within the classroom and employers to achieve pedagogic skills for adequate monitoring of students.
- Enable students to acquire more relevant competences and practical skills by combining formal education with training acquired at the workplace.
- Support different needs and interests of employers, HEIs and students in different industrial sectors through KAZDUAL model of education and provide recommendations to HEIs and MESRKs for further implementation.
- Create an observatory of dual best practices and research that contributes to disseminate KAZDUAL across Kazahstan.
